Mango & Teak Wood Materials
Om Home & Garden’s furniture pieces are all made of high quality Indian mango and teak wood. We use recycled mango & teak wood for many of our pieces.
Mango wood is more sustainable, compared to other wood types; such as the oak tree that originates in Europe. Once the mango wood trees stop bearing mango fruits, they are harvested and newly planted. Mango wood trees reach a height of up to 100 feet within 8 years, whereas oak trees can take 40-50 years to mature.
Mango wood's natural texture shows diverse and unique color patterns.
Teak wood naturally comes in a beautiful honey brown color, it is absolutely weather resistant and lasts a lifetime! It is one of a limited number of wood types that contains a natural oil which repels water.
